Can you identify the artists who drew this outtasight wraparound cover to Avengers Special Edition #1?
It was a baxter reprint of the Avengers Kree Skrull War saga. Marvel fans will immediately recognize the inker, but who was the penciller? I’ll bet most fans will think it was Big John Buscema. The answer is given after the break…if you don’t cheat by looking at the tooltip on the picture.
The cover was drawn Walt Simonson and Tom Palmer! Simonson and Palmer also drew a few interior pages recapping the Avengers events leading up to the Kree Skrull conflict. Nuff said.

Hey, not fair! We can't identify inkers -- when you only posted such a tiny graphic! Let's play again, with some bigger images, please.
Also, the type of Captcha you use is too often waaaay to hard to read for me, unlike on most other sites, so that trips up my postings as I can't make it out. Please get a better type.
Sorry, I was trying to save page load time by making a smaller image. Too stingy, I know. But you can click on the image to get a full size version on Flickr.
I have removed Captcha, let's see how this goes for a while.
